Path-Away® and its family of products all consist of a broad spectrum compound synthesized from naturally occurring plant based substances. Path-Away® is an extremely potent and effective broad spectrum anti-microbial compound. It is environmentally safe with a very low toxicity, especially compared to its competitors. It is tested, proven and approved by numerous laboratories and agencies on a global scale.

Path-Away® and its family of products are proprietary products of Global Infection Control Consultants LLC, a Bluffton, South Carolina, USA based company. At various dilutions tested between 0.5% and 50%, Path-Away® has proved to be 100% soluble in water.

Path-Away® has all components listed as GRAS (Generally Recognized as Safe) under the Code of Federal and FDA Regulations as 21 CFR 182.20, 21 CFR 182.3013 and 21 CFR 184.1540. Path-Away® has been tested for safety in numerous applications, including but not limited to agriculture, poultry, equine, textile, medical marijuana, and virtually all residential and commercial-type indoor environments with noteworthy success. Path-Away® is considered non-toxic and a non-irritant at dilutions up to 5%.

Path-Away® is also considered non-corrosive. Ingredients are FDA compliant. Path-Away® is biodegradable according to the "Standard Test Methods for Determining the Anaerobic Biodegradation Potential of Organic Chemicals", ASTM Standards, Section 11, Water and Environmental Technology, Procedure E 1196-2, pp. 879-901,1993. Path-Away® is BioGro Certified Organic and IFOAM approved as well as MPI-OOAP-USDA, MPI-OOAP-EU, MPI-OOAP-Taiwan and JAS.

 

SUMMARY and CONCLUSIONS
Preliminary studies with Path-Away® also indicate that this disinfectant poses excellent antifungal activity as well as antibacterial and anti-parasitic. This should also be kept in mind when considering the attributes of this product; it has great potential as an All Purpose disinfectant with the previously determined low toxicity. The data in this report has been studied in numerous laboratories both home and abroad, which are available on this website.

Recommendations will be made as to the appropriate dilution of Path-Away® that should be used in practical application, depending on the function for use. Additional, studies are currently underway to better identify various applications and treatments best suited for the product/family of products.
